Pet Translator Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pet Translator handles microphone input, pet photos, local records and sharing.
What we process
- Microphone: used only after you tap record to capture a short pet sound for local recognition.
- Camera and Photos: used only when you choose to take/select a pet photo or save a share card.
- Local app data: pet profiles, sound records, local replay clips, translations, favorites, streaks, settings and exports remain on your device.
What we do not do
- Raw recordings are never uploaded to a server or used for advertising.
- No account, third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking, cloud sync or sale of data.
- The app does not continuously listen in the background.
Retention and deletion
After recognition, the working audio buffer is released. If you keep a sound record, its short clip is stored only on your device for replay. Deleting the record or all local data in Settings also deletes the associated clip. Exported files are controlled by you after you save or share them.
Accuracy and safety
Results are playful sound-pattern guesses, not literal or scientific translations, veterinary advice or diagnosis. A growl or hiss pattern may trigger a safety notice; it may be wrong and does not establish an animal's health, emotion or intent.
Permissions and Apple services
The app uses Apple's permission prompts for microphone, camera and photo access. It does not use iCloud, CloudKit, accounts, in-app purchases or third-party AI APIs in this release.

猫狗翻译只在用户点击录音后使用麦克风采集短暂宠物声音，用于本地识别。相机和相册只在用户主动拍摄/选择宠物头像或保存分享卡片时使用。
宠物档案、叫声记录、用于回放的本地录音、翻译文案、收藏、连续记录、设置和导出内容默认保存在设备本地。录音不会上传，也不用于广告；当前版本不要求账号、不使用第三方分析或广告 SDK、不做追踪、不使用云同步，也不后台持续监听。
识别完成后，处理内存中的音频会释放；如果你保留叫声记录，短录音会留在本机供历史回放。删除单条记录或“设置”中的全部数据时，会同时删除关联录音。所有结果均为基于叫声模式的拟人化娱乐猜测，不是真实翻译、科学判断或兽医诊断；低吼、嘶哈模式可能触发安全提示，但提示可能不准确，不代表确定的健康或行为结论。
