Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of DeskTremor. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. What DeskTremor is
DeskTremor is a utility for iPhone and iPad that turns a flat-lying device into a time-limited desk watcher. While the app is open in the foreground during a monitoring session, it reads device motion, shows live multi-axis readings, raises an explainable local alert when sustained movement crosses your chosen threshold, and stores an event card with the threshold, an axis summary and your own yes/no judgement. Events are archived locally, up to 500 entries, with drill records kept separate from real events.
2. What DeskTremor is not
DeskTremor is not an official earthquake warning system, an emergency alert service, a seismic instrument, a safety device, or a monitoring service. It does not provide magnitude, epicenter, depth, arrival-time or intensity forecasts, and it does not detect, predict or confirm earthquakes. It does not replace official authorities, local emergency guidance, professional judgement, building safety assessments, or any evacuation decision. Never use an alert from this app as the reason to enter, stay in, or leave a building.
3. Foreground-only operation
DeskTremor monitors only while the app is open and in the foreground during a session. iOS does not allow a regular app to sample motion continuously in the background, and the app does not attempt to circumvent that. When you leave the app, lock the screen for an extended period in a way that suspends it, or the session ends, monitoring stops and no record is kept for that period. A quiet archive does not mean nothing happened on the desk.
4. Placement and environment
Place the device flat on a stable hard surface, without overhang and without soft material underneath, and follow the in-app placement guidance. Do not rely on the app on a moving surface, in a vehicle, on a shelf where the device could fall, or anywhere the device or the objects around it could be damaged. Do not interact with the app while driving, operating machinery, or walking in traffic. DeskTremor does not protect the device or nearby objects from falling.
5. Thresholds, false alerts and missed events
Sensitivity is adjustable, and the resulting alerts depend on your setting, the surface, the device, and how it was placed. Knocking the desk, moving a cup, typing heavily, a passing truck, or an unstable placement can all trigger an alert; genuinely significant movement can also stay below your threshold or occur while the app is not monitoring. An alert means "this device read sustained movement on this axis", nothing more. Interpreting it is your responsibility.
6. Family demo and notifications
The family demo replays the local notification flow with a built-in script; it reads no real sensor data and pushes nothing to another device or another person's phone. Notification permission is requested only when you enable the demo, and notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. Delivery depends on your device settings, Focus modes and system state, and is not guaranteed.
7. Optional city board
The city board is optional and off unless you enable it. When enabled, it writes an anonymous public CloudKit record containing only occurrence time, a roughly 1 km grid label and a felt-intensity band; it contains no precise location, account or device identifier. Because the record is public and anonymous, it cannot be attributed to you and cannot be retracted by removing the app. Board content depends on Apple's CloudKit availability; when it is unavailable, signed out or restricted, the app labels what it shows as local demo data. Do not treat board entries as verified reports.
8. Local data and your responsibility
Motion samples, events, waveforms, sessions, demo data and settings are stored only on your device. They can be lost if you delete the app, clear its data, lose or reset the device, or restore a backup that does not include them. Keep your own records if an event matters to you. The archive keeps at most 500 events, and deleting an entry requires your confirmation.
9. Licence
Qiquverse grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell or sublicense the app except as permitted by law.
10. Free of charge
The current version is free and contains no in-app purchase, subscription, advertising or paywall. If a future version introduces paid features, they will be described before purchase.
11. Apple platform dependencies
The app requires iOS 26 or later and depends on Apple frameworks for motion sensing, notifications, iCloud and CloudKit. Availability, accuracy and behaviour can change with iOS updates, hardware differences (for example sensor characteristics between iPhone and iPad models), permission changes, or Apple service outages. Revoking permissions can disable related features.
12. Availability, updates and termination
Qiquverse may release updates, change features, or discontinue the app. Features that depend on Apple services may change or stop working. These Terms may be updated with the app; continued use after an update means acceptance.
13. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Qiquverse disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, timely, or suitable for any safety purpose.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Qiquverse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss, injury, property damage or decision made in reliance on an alert, a reading, an event card or a city board entry instead of official information or professional advice.

一、DeskTremor 是什么
DeskTremor 是一款 iPhone 与 iPad 工具，把平放的设备变成有限时长的桌面看门人：在监测会话期间、App 处于前台时读取设备运动，显示实时多轴读数，当持续移动达到你设定的阈值时给出可解释的本地提醒，并保存一张包含阈值、轴摘要与你自己「是 / 不是」判断的事件卡。事件在本地归档，最多 500 条，演练记录与真实事件分开存放。
二、DeskTremor 不是什么
DeskTremor 不是官方地震预警系统、不是应急警报服务、不是地震仪器、不是安全设备，也不是监测服务。它不提供震级、震中、深度、到达时间或烈度预报，也不检测、预测或确认地震。它不能替代官方机构、当地应急指引、专业判断、建筑安全评估或任何疏散决定。请勿把本 App 的提醒当作进入、停留或离开建筑物的依据。
三、只在前台工作
DeskTremor 只在监测会话期间、App 处于前台时进行监测。iOS 不允许普通 App 在后台持续采样运动数据，本 App 也不会绕过这一限制。当你离开 App、屏幕锁定导致 App 被挂起，或会话结束时，监测停止，这段时间不会留下任何记录。归档里很安静，并不代表桌面上什么都没发生。
四、放置与环境
请把设备平放在稳定、硬质的表面上，机身不悬空，下方不垫软物，并遵循 App 内的放置引导。请勿在移动的表面、车辆内、设备可能跌落的架子或其他可能损坏设备及周边物品的地方依赖本 App。请勿在驾驶、操作机械或在车流中行走时与 App 交互。DeskTremor 不能防止设备或附近物品跌落。
五、阈值、误报与漏报
灵敏度可调，实际提醒取决于你的设置、桌面材质、设备型号与放置方式。敲桌子、挪动杯子、用力打字、路过的卡车或没放稳的设备都可能触发提醒；真正明显的移动也可能低于你的阈值，或发生在 App 没有监测的时候。一条提醒只代表「这台设备在这个轴上读到了持续移动」，除此之外不代表任何结论，如何解读由你负责。
六、家庭演示与通知
家庭演示用内置脚本重放本地通知流程，不读取真实传感器数据，也不会向其他设备或家人的手机推送任何内容。只有在你启用演示时才会请求通知权限，通知由 iOS 在本地调度。是否送达取决于你的设备设置、专注模式与系统状态，不保证一定展示。
七、可选的同城看板
同城看板是可选的，未开启时不会写入。开启后，App 会向 CloudKit 写入一条匿名公开记录，只包含发生时间、约 1 公里网格标识与体感强度档，不含精确位置、账号或设备标识。由于该记录是公开且匿名的，它无法归属到你，也无法通过删除 App 撤回。看板内容依赖 Apple CloudKit 的可用性；不可用、未登录或受限制时，App 会把展示内容标注为本地演示数据。请勿把看板条目当作已核实的报告。
八、本地数据与你的责任
运动采样、事件、波形、会话、演示数据与设置只保存在你的设备上。删除 App、清除数据、设备丢失或重置、或恢复不含这些数据的备份，都可能造成丢失。如果某次事件对你重要，请自行另存记录。归档最多保留 500 条事件，删除条目需要你确认。
九、许可
Qiquverse 授予你一项个人的、不可转让、非独占的许可，用于在你拥有或控制的 Apple 设备上使用本 App，并受 App Store 条款约束。除法律允许外，你不得反向工程、再分发、转售或再许可本 App。
十、免费
当前版本免费，不含内购、订阅、广告或付费墙。若未来版本引入付费功能，会在购买前明确说明。
十一、Apple 平台依赖
本 App 需要 iOS 26 或更高版本，并依赖 Apple 的运动传感、通知、iCloud 与 CloudKit 框架。可用性、精度与行为可能随 iOS 更新、硬件差异（例如不同 iPhone 与 iPad 机型的传感器特性）、权限变更或 Apple 服务中断而变化。撤回权限会使相关功能不可用。
十二、可用性、更新与终止
Qiquverse 可能发布更新、调整功能或停止提供本 App。依赖 Apple 服务的功能可能发生变化或停止工作。本条款可能随 App 更新，更新后继续使用即视为接受。
十三、无担保
本 App 按「现状」与「可用」状态提供。在法律允许的范围内，Qiquverse 不提供适销性、特定用途适用性与不侵权的默示担保，也不保证 App 不中断、无错误、准确、及时或适用于任何安全用途。
十四、责任限制
在法律允许的范围内，Qiquverse 不对间接、附带、特殊或后果性损害负责，也不对因以提醒、读数、事件卡或同城看板条目替代官方信息或专业建议而产生的任何损失、伤害、财产损坏或决定负责。
